AICA Joins "Eats For A Good Cause"
In gratitude for the blessings AICA have received, they thought of this activity entitled "Eats for a Good Cause" where Italian Street Foods were sold to shoppers at the Mega Tent. The menu included different panini (chicken, pesto, tacos and tuna), croquetas, choco oatmeal cookies and biscotti with brewed coffee. Before the event proper, the students together with the chef instructors offered their time and effort to prepare the foods. They have worked long hours to cook and bake the dishes with passion. The real motivation comes from doing this for a common good without any reward. They took turns in cooking and serving the foods during the event. They feel that all of their efforts for this cause will greatly help the community. Although the students were so tired from the event, it did not matter to them knowing that it turned out successful. In return, the students also benefited from this because they also learned a lot from managing a booth to accommodating so many shoppers all at the same time. |
The Academy for International Culinary Arts (AICA) joined the Big Outlet Sale last November 21 to 23, 2008 at the Mega Tent Hall in Ortigas, Pasig City. As part of AICA's commitment to share the blessings this Christmas season, the students worked together to give back to a community with the support of the school. Proceeds of the event are for the less fortunate families of Phase 1, Brgy Malipay, Molino in Bacoor Cavite, their adopted barangay.
