The Academy for International Culinary Arts (AICA) commemorates the International Che's Day through a coordinated celebration on both AICA Cebu and AICA Manila campuses. International Chef's Day was launched in 2004 and since then, the world has been celebrating this special occasion every 20th of October. Students honor their mentors by wearing different headgears and bottoms however keeping the WHITES to show esteem to the Chefs.
As part of the AICA tradition, a simultaneous celebration on both Manila and Cebu campuses gathered the members of the academy around long tables of graces. Potluck contribution flattered the Chefs and enticed the staff and students. This hour-long feast greatly shows its gratitude to AICA's pride Chef Alejandro Lazaro III, Chef Nathaniel Manuel, Chef Jeannie Ching, Chef Veronica Zamora, Chef Lara Dizon, Chef Joemike Lontoc, Chef Johann Young, Chef Ellaine Sanchez, Chef Frankie Borromeo and Chef Vance Borja. The celebration was organized by the AICA employees and students. Morning and afternoon classes were not called off yet the presence of feast was felt the whole day through happy hearts and filled tummies.
