Pink Ribbon International in partnership with Ayala Center Cebu held a culinary event entitled "Pink Plate Culinary Food Fair Event" at the Ayala Terraces grounds. Through this event, The Pink Ribbon International is aiming to create awareness and educate the Filipinos on how to prevent, cure and deal with Breast Cancer. The venue was flooded with pink from backdrops to other food-fair required materials symbolizing the color of women. This 3-day event gave way to non-profit organizations and institutions to showcase their each party's mission and at the same time be the ambassador to their members in creating and providing education about breast cancer. AICA CEBU supported through a cooking demo and provision of the academy's booth. This participation was made possible with the help of the students from Batch 4 and Batch 6. Chef Ellaine Sanchez also represented a passionate woman and gave a cooking demonstration with her student assistant, Kristina Lim of Batch 4. The widespread effect of Breast Cancer was witnessed on numbers of women all over the world, however, the organization also invites men to get involved and be aware on this type of cancer for the reason that it also occurs on men yet in less number as to compare to women victims.
